Benefits of Elliptical Cross Trainers

The 2008 Physical Activity Guidelines for Americans recommends all adults participate in at least 150 minutes of moderate-intensity aerobic exercise, such as elliptical training, each week. Compared to walking and cycling, elliptical training results in greater quadriceps and hamstring co-activation, according to a study published in 2011 in “Gait and Posture.”
